The Dance

For a moment, close your eyes, breathe in deeply, exhale and imagine yourself surrounded by beautiful nature - clouds, sun, wind, grass, birds, trees...

If you start to notice how we move and what happens in our body during walking, running, even sitting, a new awareness arises.  If you can listen totally to this without wanting it to be different, then the movements in the world and ourselves start to reveal themselves as a kind of dance.  In this way we start to understand more clearly the movements and behaviour of others as well. Our bodies respond more naturally to situations, our feelings become less confused and our minds more peaceful as we start to hear the music of life. We become creators of new ideas and positive thoughts and transmit values that are important for our society.

Balans is an exercise system for women that combines the grace of ballet, the centering effect of yoga, the body conditioning of Pilates and the energy balancing of Chi Kung.  It has been practiced by women in South Eastern Europe for over 10 years and is now coming to the UK.

Previous knowledge or experience of any exercise system is not required to start.  Neither should age or ability limit your capacity to enjoy Balans practice.
